How to properly store a vehicle
Unlike a piece of furniture or other items from inside your home, vehicles need certain care to ensure that they are stored properly. If you have a car that you aren’t using often and you don’t have room to store safely at your home, C J’s can take care of it for you. Here are some of the important things to keep in mind when you choose to store a vehicle.
- We need detailed information to store your car. This includes a contract signed by you that includes the make, model, and license plate number of the vehicle in question.
- When we store your car, we need your title to prove that you own the car. If you just obtained the car and do not have a title with your name on it, a bill of sale can be used as well.
- Let us know the size of your vehicle to get the best possible price on a unit. Most cars can fit into a 10x20 foot unit, but if you have something much smaller or larger than normal, we have other options for you.
- Is protection from the elements important to you? If not, we offer outdoor parking spaces where you can keep your vehicle safe for a very affordable rate.
- Make sure to drive the car from time to time if it is possible. This will make sure that the battery stays in good condition.
